K9 Party in the Park: Join us in supporting a worthy local cause

Wilkinson Woodward is delighted to once again be part of the K9 Party in the Park, which will take place at Manor Heath Park in Halifax on Sunday 7^th July 2024.

Hosted by the RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District Branch, the well-established annual event is a highlight for pet lovers from Calderdale, Kirklees, Bradford and beyond, and  raises vital funds which support the efforts of the non-profit organisation.  

Wilkinson Woodward has been a firm supporter of the local animal charity for many years; our team annually participates in the charity’s various fundraising activities and events. We are also proud to support the charity directly by offering pro bono legal support.

Many people don’t know that the RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District Branch, although part of the network of RSPCA branches, is entirely self-funded. This means that the charity and its Animal Centre, based in Halifax, rely on the support and generosity of the community it serves to continue its day-to-day running and its invaluable animal welfare work.

K9 Party in the Park is an incredible event which raises much-needed funds to support the rehabilitation, treatment, training, and care of animals. 2024 marks the National RSPCA’s 200th anniversary, which means this year’s K9 party promises to be bigger and better than ever. There will be a variety of stalls and activities for people and pets alike, as well as food stands, music, an agility course, and interactive dog-related party games. Wilkinson Woodward will be amongst the many supporters. We have met some wonderful people over the years, and we look forward to meeting you and your canine companions.

The K9 Party will feature a dog show, including  21 different classes: Perfect Pups, Handsome Lads, Posh Paws, Best Rescue Dog, Fancy Dress and more. The Wilkinson Woodward team are excited to be judging the Bonniest Lass category. The judging will end with a grand ‘Best in Show’ finale.

Besides being a day of fun for all members of the family, K9 Party in the Park provides a great opportunity to learn more about the incredible work the local RSPCA does in the community. We encourage people to show their support for this worthy cause by attending the event. While entry is free, donations are welcome.
