Charity Walk for Roy Dunn
On the 12th of September, we are pleased to be embarking on a charity walk in memory of our much-loved director, colleague and friend, Roy Dunn.
Roy sadly passed away in April 2024 at Springhill Hospice, aged 55, following a short battle with cancer.
Roy loved the outdoors and going for long walks with his beloved wife Judith and dog Sadie.
There really was no other way for us to raise funds for Springhill Hospice in his memory than a sponsored walk, taking in some of the beautiful countryside of Calderdale and Kirklees.
Staff members will be opting to walk either the full 30 miles, 15 miles or 5 miles and the route will connect our three offices, starting in Halifax and ending in Huddersfield, where Roy enjoyed nearly all of his professional career.
Springhill Hospice provides care & support to people with a life limiting illness & their loved ones. Springhill passionately believe that everyone should have access to the best care at the end of their lives.
To help achieve this, their expert team work night and day in people’s homes and at the Hospice to offer specialist care, to everyone who needs it. Springhill also support people emotionally, provide practical information & help them maintain their independence and dignity.
We, as well as Springhill Hospice, will be extremely grateful for any donations received.
