Charity Quiz Night a whopping success

We are delighted to announce that our Charity Quiz Night, which took place at The Shay Stadium in Halifax on 13^th April, was not only entertaining but also hugely successful, with the event raising £1400 in aid of Overgate Hospice, a local charity which has been caring for the Calderdale community since 1981.

We are incredibly pleased with the amount raised and would like to thank everyone for their generosity and sportsmanship.

It was wonderful to see so many colleagues, business associates and friends come together and battle it out for such a worthwhile cause. And what a battle it was! Quiz master Clive Masters compiled a thoroughly enjoyable quiz, with questions ranging from History to Music, and even Current Affairs! 

On the night, 23 teams, including teams of staff from our Halifax, Huddersfield, and Brighouse branches, put their general knowledge to the test. However, X-Press Legal Services were ultimately crowned as the winners, with Wheawill & Sudworth and Eastwood Insurance Brokers taking second and third place, respectively. Other businesses who took part included Boococks Estate Agents, Next Step Trust, Connellys Accountants, Mortgage Inn, Shrewdd Marketing, and Angela Viney Conveyancing Services. A team from Overgate Hospice also participated in the event!

After the first half of the quiz, attendees were treated to a delicious pie dinner. This was followed by a fantastic raffle, which was made possible through a number of generous donations from businesses and individuals.

We would like to thank everyone who donated prizes, as well as all the teams who attended our charity quiz for making it a fun and memorable event while raising money for such a good cause. Overgate Hospice is very close to our hearts, and we are pleased that every penny raised will help the charity in its efforts to provide care and support to the Calderdale community.
