Hepworth Brass Band
Commercial and property specialist Laura Kurowski has recently agreed changes to the lease at Dobroyd Mills, Jackson Bridge near Holmfirth on behalf of Hepworth Brass Band. This will enable the Band to extend and refurbish their rehearsal facilities.
Band Chairman John Green said,
“We are extremely grateful for the help and support of our funding partners and Wilkinson Woodward Solicitors which, together with our own fundraising efforts enables the band to carry out essential repairs and improvements to the band room building that will provide the band with a facility that is fit for purpose and that will be a welcoming, creative space where people can come together to rehearse and make music.”
Hepworth Brass Band was formed in 1882 and is one of the most established brass bands in the country. The Band has a proud contesting tradition and in recent years, has won a string of prestigious prizes. The Band runs a popular annual programme of concerts and supports local charities and events, including the famous Hepworth Feast.
This year the band’s popular Christmas Concert takes places at 7pm on Sunday 15th December at Christ Church, 56 Sude Hill, New Mill, Holmfirth.
