Furlough scheme extended until April 2021
The Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced that the furlough scheme is being extended to the end of April 2021 and that the government will continue to pay 80% of wages until the end of the scheme. The extension aims to provide businesses with a level of certainty ahead of the 45 day redundancy notice period.The Chancellor also confirmed that there will be an extension to the government-guaranteed COVID 19 business loan scheme until the end of March 2021.
