We are taking part in the new Family Mediation Voucher Scheme

We are pleased to announce our participation in the Family Mediation Voucher Scheme.

Family mediation is a cost-effective way to resolve differences following separation. The new scheme launched on 1 April 2021, with an additional boost of £800,000 in August and entitles eligible couples to receive a £500 voucher towards the costs of family mediation in cases concerning children. It is designed to help families resolve issues for themselves, without having to go to court.

Funding is available on a first come first served basis to all clients dealing with arrangements for children even if a financial settlement is under discussion. It is especially invaluable to those clients who may be just over the threshold to qualify for Legal Aid as the £500 contribution towards the cost of mediation involving children may cover the whole cost. It is not means tested.  Your Mediator will arrange your application to the Voucher Scheme at the MIAM.  However, it does not include the cost of the initial individual mediation information and assessment meeting (MIAM) which remains the responsibility of the individual client and costs £110+VAT or £132 in total.
