2020 K9 Party in the Park goes virtual

Calling all dogs (and their owners!).

This year's RSPCA K9 Party is the Park is going virtual. The popular doggy day out normally takes place every year in Heath Park, Halifax, with canines from across Calderdale gathering for competitions, shows, stalls and activities.

2020 marks the 20th anniversary of K9 Party and, not to be beaten by lockdown, the RSPCA are taking their Fun Dog Show online. With 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Highly Recommended places up for grabs, this is one event not to be sniffed at!

Entries to the 20 categories can be made via their Facebook event page K9 PARTY IN THE PARK 2020 or via email. Entries open on Friday 26 June and close on Friday 3 July. Each class costs just £2 to enter.

On Sunday 5 July the RSPCA will host a special Facebook live stream event from their Animal Centre in Halifax, featuring:

• Live announcements of dog show winners
• Live and interactive dog 'party' games
• Live raffle
• Live animal parades for the dogs/cats/smalls in their care
