Shelley McLachlan
Shelley joined us in 2014 after achieving a First Class Law Degree followed by a Master’s in Law and Practice. She qualified as a solicitor in July 2016 and specialises in Children and Care proceedings.
In 2019 Shelley was appointed as a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and is therefore able to represent children within care proceedings. She is also a member of Huddersfield Law Society, and, in April 2021,we were delighted when Shelley joined our board of directors.
Shelley is a familiar face in the Courts in Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield, providing representation in cases where the local authority is involved in family life, including care proceedings and adoption, as well as representing children in private family law proceedings.
Outside work, Shelley lives in Huddersfield and spends her free time with friends and family.
I found Ms McLachlan to be extremely patient when dealing with my concerns, very professional, courteous and friendly.
Shelly was lovely. She is an asset to your firm and I hope she has a brilliant career. It was a pleasure to talk to her - even in our sad circumstances.
Shelley was very helpful and informative
