Liza's Legacy - a year of fundraising in memory of Liza Pickles

In memory of our much-loved colleague Liza Pickles who passed away last year, we've signed up to Liza's Legacy, a series of events to raise funds for Overgate Hospice, whose amazing staff cared for Liza in the final days of her life. Here's an overview of what we have planned:

11 May 2019: The Class of '74 Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Our Director Andrew Crabtree and his Hipperholme Grammar School school pals take a 26 mile yomp round the famous Dales route. Find out more

7 June 2019: The Wilkinson Woodward Charity Quiz Night

Join legendary quizmaster Clive Masters for a night of brain-busting at the Shay Stadium. Find out more

28 June 2019: Emily Lockwood's Charity Skydive

Intrepid legal secretary Emily Lockwood joins friends on a skydive to raise funds for Manorlands Hospice and Overgate Hospice. Find out more

6 July 2019: The Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike

Our directors Maureen Cawthorn and Penny Manock head up North for a whopping 26 mile walk from Alnwick Castle to Bamburgh Castle.For this event all funds raised will go to MacMillan Cancer Support.

13 July 2019: The Overgate 5k Colour Run

Liza would have loved this fun event. We've heard the paint washes out easily, right?

14 September 2019: Overgate Midnight Walk

A midnight mooch around Calderdale to remember our dear friend and colleague.

30 September 2019: Liza's Birthday Bake Sale

Legal secretary-cum-master baker Leigh Fitzpatrick will don her pinny and rustle up a hoard of culinary treats which will be for sale at our Brighouse office on the day Liza would have celebrated her birthday.
